Thoughts on costumes for our characters

Zoe
  • Very pale skin- for example we could use rice powder
This could be the inspiration  as Nicola has extremley white, almost translucent skin.
  • Abnormal contact lenses such as a yellow cat eye appearance to establish that she isn't human
Yellow cat eye lenses
  • Thick black Kohl eyeliner  bottom and top
Avril uses alot of eyeliner which makes her yes stand out in an abnormal manner , making her look almost animal like which is the type of effect we want for Zoe.
  • Bright red lipstick to contrast against her pale skin
She has pale skin which makes the lipstick stand out against her pallor.
  • Green costume perhaps to blend in the environment- this could indicate that she is lurking in the shadows
green cape
  • bare feet that are perhaps dirty to show she is wild and has animal tendencies
bare feet in the grass
  • Long black wig which is messy and backcombed to again show animal qualities
An example of a wig we can mess up to make it wild looking
  • no jewelery to show that she is perhaps poor
  • A long pendant that all three of us wear to show that we are part of something
a pendant similuar to what we can use which seems to represnet unity
Me
In the bedroom scene
  • In my pyjamas to show that i am sleeping e.g nightie perhaps

    Pyjamas
  • Make up smeared to show that i am tired- for example we can use faint black eye shadow under my eyes to illustrate this
A messy smeared makeup effect to show that Im asleep
  •  My normal skin colour
In the dream sequence
  • Very pale skin to show that perhaps i am part of their unity
  • Face hidden by long , straight , black hair which gives me a sense of mystery and makes you ponder as to what is happening
  • White nightie like in the sleeping scene but dirty and wet e.g. we could smear mud or dirty water on me
  • Barefoot- to make me seem non human
  • Pendant
Hannah
  • Exact replica of me perhaps to signify that i am not my own person - in the dream succession
